The purpose of the Edison School District 2010 STAR (Standardized Testing and Reporting) Preparation Video is to increase student assessment literacy and parent involvement.

Parents and students are encouraged to watch this DVD together so they can understand the importance of the California Standards Test (CST) and to learn more about the California Department of Education’s accountability system for public schools.

Research we have gathered demonstrates that students who do well on the California Standards Test know the importance of the test and how test results will be used.

This video features OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF. We feel this increases the interest level and provides the foundation to deliver an important message in an entertaining and motivational format.
