Edison School District Transportation
PARENT RESPONSIBILITY and Transportation
The Edison School District is fortunate to provide transportation for our students and we are happy to make this service available.
In order to make our bus transportation services safe and reliable, we ask for your cooperation.
Please know that transportation is a student privilege, not a “right”. And while we want everyone to have access to this service, parents and students must understand that transportation privileges are contingent on acceptable student behavior aboard buses and at bus stops.
Parents are responsible for:
A. Students arriving at bus stops on time.
B. The safety of their child to and from bus stops and home.
C. Selecting their child’s walk routes to and from bus stops and home. (Parents should
assist their young child by escorting them to and from their bus stop until the child learns
how to walk safely on their own.)
D. Student conduct and safety while waiting for the bus.
E. Reviewing the bus rules with their child.
F. Making sure their child knows their bus number and stop location.
Note: Drivers are not permitted to wait at bus stops for late arrivals. It is suggested that students arrive at bus stops not more than ten (10) minutes and not less than five (5) minutes prior to the scheduled pick up time.
